We stayed here for 2 nights, unfortunately we had heavy rain for the days that we were there so the campsite was very muddy. The bath house and showers were clean, especially if you take into account the amount of mud due to the weather. This is the second time I've stayed here, and would recommend it to others.
We really enjoyed this campground, the staff was very friendly and even let us join one of their nightly card games. The only issue I can see with this campground is that the interior roads are narrow, and could be difficult for people with large RV's. But other than that, we would stay here again.
We stayed here for a quick over nighter on our way to DC. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and helpful. We stayed at a creek side site, where we were the only ones. The sites appear to be small (but not unusually so for a private campground). The bathhouse was small, but clean. There was only 1 shower for each for men and women for the entire campground. We'd stay here again for an overnight trip, but probably not for more than 1 night.
We stayed here with a group of friends for a long weekend. The campsites were of a good size, and the bath houses were clean. The only issues with the park are that they have mountain biking trails, but it is difficult to access them from the campground - they don't allow bikes on them, only hikers. The other issues is that the state of MD is changing the alcohol policy effective Nov 1, 2009 - after that date, no campers will be allowed to have alcohol.
Nice size sites, good location to visit many of the sights in DC area. This campground doesn't seem to have adequate bathhouse and shower facilities for the number of campsites available - I guess they figure everyone is self-contained. Also, the only potable water source that we found was near the dumping station - which we didn't feel comfortable using, so we had to go and purchase drinking water from the local grocery store. We would stay here again if we were going to DC.
